startstockpile

Great ways to start a stockpile

Starting a stockpile can be very tedious for some people. But we are here to help you.

There is no need to spend a tremendous amount of money to start a stockpile. This is a mistake that many couponers fall victim to.

The first thing you need to do is stock on items you get free with coupons.

Wait until items go on sale for less than the coupon you have, then run to the store and grab those items.

Example–

Crest Toothpaste- $0.98

You have $1/1 Crest Toothpaste ($1/1 Crest)

Buy (4) Crest Toothpaste

Use (4) $1/1 Crest Toothpaste

Final Price : Free + $0.04 in overage.

This example makes the item completely free. This is how you begin to acquire a stockpile. When you stock on items you get free or under $1.00.

So grab those coupons and those sales ads and find out what you’re getting free this week.

Coupon_Girls_LA_Top_6_Stores

When couponing it is important to try to shop at stores that are coupon friendly.

We have compiled a list of the 6 most coupon friendly stores.

1. CVS

CVS is very coupon friendly. You can combine manufactured coupons together with Extra Care Bucks.

Extra Care Bucks (ECB’s) are coupons which print at the register at time of checkout. These coupons may be used just like cash.  They also may be used immediately in the next transaction. There is no limit on coupons unless stated on the coupon.

2. Target

Target is a favorite of most seasoned couponers. You can combine manufactured coupon with Mobile Coupons, Cartwheel, and the Target Red Card.

Target mobile coupons may be sent to your phone by texting OFFERS to 827438.

Target Debit Red Card- These Debit cards if used in transactions that can help you save an extra 5%

Cartwheel App- This is an app that may be loaded to your phone . Cartwheel has many Target store coupons which may be combined with manufactured coupons.

Go to–>>Cartwheel to get the app.

3. Walgreens

Walgreen’s is one of my favorite places to shop. You can combined coupons with Register Rewards and Points for extra savings.

Register Rewards (RR) are coupons printed at the register at time of purchase. Points are acquired when items are purchased and points are placed on your loyalty card. Both methods of rewards may be used immediately. There is no limit on coupons unless stated on the coupon.

4. Rite-Aid

Rite-Aid has their own Reward System. Up+Rewards are earned on qualifying purchases. Up+ Rewards may be used just like cash.

Up+Rewards are coupons printed at the register or placed on you store loyalty card. (You can choose which you preferThere is no limit on coupons unless stated on the coupon.

5. Kroger

If you wanting food items then Kroger is the place to shop. Although they recently stopped doubling coupons it is still possible to get great deals and even free items.

Super Digital Coupon may be loaded to your store loyalty card. These specific coupons may be used 5 times in one transaction. Digital Coupons are not allowed to be used with paper coupons.

If you choose to use paper coupon make sure you do not have a digital coupon loaded for the same product because the digital coupon will be redeemed  before paper coupons.

6. Kmart

Kmart offers super doubles a few times a year. This is an event which allows a couponer to double 5 like coupons valued up to $2.00. Yes that’s right $4.00 off a product.

Store coupons are also printed at the register at time of checkout. These can be combined with manufactured coupons.

You may also opt for text coupons by texting KMART to 414141.

After getting your shopyourway store card, you can go to Shopyourway and lets us be your personal shopper. You will receive detailed deals and coupons .

sunday newspaper coupon inserts

When to Buy Newspapers for the coupons

Are you new to couponing or a dedicated coupon clipper, we have some tips that will help you decided when you need to buy newspapers.

First, let’s discuss the basics. There are three main companies that put out inserts: SmartSource (SS), RedPlum (RP), and Procter & Gamble (PG).

Holiday weekends such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Easter, and Labor Day tend to have fewer or no inserts. In comparison, the first weekend of the month often has the most inserts.

We suggest getting multiple copies of newspapers, this in the long run will help you get better deals. Example if we have a coupon that will allow us to get the item for free, having 5-6 coupons is much better than only having one.

When to get fewer Newspapers

There are specific times that we suggest only purchasing one or two newspapers.

The first would be a holiday weekend, we will only get one insert . There are a few times a year when no coupon inserts are scheduled for release.

Next only buy one or two papers when you notice the coupons are not really appealing to items you buy.

You can find your Sunday coupon preview  here.

When to stock on newspapers.

If there will be numerous inserts or inserts filled with your favorite coupons, it’s the time to stock up! Look into picking up additional copies at the store or newsstand (make sure to check your local Dollar Tree to see if they carry $1 Sunday newspapers!) If you don’t want to shell out extra dollars, try asking friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors for unused inserts (perhaps in exchange for some of the freebies you’ll score)!
